Checking the Obits

from Last Call EP by Three Fingers

/

lyrics

It's been about six years,
I've started to forget what you look like.
I wonder if you died, would I even know?
Would anybody tell me?

On a Tuesday afternoon,
I checked the trib, (as in Chicago Tribune!)
found the obituaries,
couldn't find your name.
I can't believe you're still alive with all that shame.

And who are you to still, oh, haunt my dreams?
Am I still in the will?
And who are you to me, but a faded scar?
Someday I'll forget.
